Our principal, Josh, graduated in 2006 with a vision to establish a nimble architecture firm offering diverse services, honed by his experience in both commercial and residential design. Initially focused on high-end condo/apartment complexes until 2010, market shifts prompted a transition to a manufacturing company specializing in store kiosk design. This move enriched his understanding of construction and business aspects crucial for long-term success.

As-Built Surveys and 3d Scanning

We want to combine these two. Change to the title at the begining here. Islands Architecture and Design, LLC offers comprehensive As-Built Survey services to support your project from the ground up. One of our team members will visit your site to thoroughly document existing conditions—including structural elements, ADA compliance, MEP connections, and utilities—while also providing expert assessments and recommendations for future design needs.

As part of this service, clients receive a full package that includes site photos, detailed floor plans and elevations in both PDF and CAD formats, and a written summary of our findings. To further enhance accuracy and visualization, we offer 3D scanning and documentation using state-of-the-art camera and software technology. This allows us to create immersive 3D walk-throughs and generate point cloud models, which can be seamlessly integrated into the architectural design process.

Drone documentation is also available upon request to provide a complete perspective of your property.

In 2011, Josh co-founded a construction department within the manufacturing company, expanding rapidly to handle nationwide projects. Simultaneously, he obtained his architecture license in Florida in 2015, establishing a design department that complemented the company's existing services. Collaborating with Steve, Josh laid the groundwork for Islands Architecture and Design, LLC, aiming to redefine the traditional architect-client relationship. Their approach emphasizes collaboration and innovation, ensuring each client's vision is not only realized but exceeded through unique design solutions.
